Tom Closson
Tom Closson is a leading senior healthcare executive having served in high level positions in many of Canada's top hospitals. He was appointed President and CEO of the Ontario Hospital Association in January 2008. From 2000 until June 2005, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of University Health Network (UHN). Before joining UHN, Mr. Closson was President and CEO of the Capital Health Region in Victoria, B.C. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto where he rose from the position of Chief Financial Officer to Chief Operating Officer, and ultimately to President and CEO. Further, he has extensive government experience including serving as Chief Information Officer for the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services.
