Lesa Berec
Lesa Berec is an instructor for the Schulich School of Business, York University. She was formerly a director with Canada’s largest independent IT consulting company. Lesa has been involved in the volunteer sector for many years, working on distress lines, fundraising for women’s shelters and working with the Canadian Cancer Society. She has held several leadership positions with the Society, including Unit President, Region Vice-President, and currently Region President. She also spends time in her community canvassing, giving outreach presentations and acting as a media spokesperson during fundraising campaigns. Lesa has been the recipient of several awards for her work with the Society. Lesa also teaches for Schulich School of Business and travels extensively. She lives in Toronto with her husband, Peter. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, she can be found in her garden nurturing the good earth.
